ShugMac

ShugMac, a Pittsburgh-based artist, was born into a musical family, with her father a gospel rapper and preacher and her mother a gospel singer. Raised in a studio built by her father, Shug learned the fundamentals of recording and developed a unique raspy voice. Initially following in her parents' footsteps, she pursued a career in gospel music, but as she grew older, she felt constrained and decided to carve her own path.

This led ShugMac to explore her own musical identity, blending Rock, R&B, Rap, and Hip-Hop to create a distinctive sound. Embracing her individuality, she reintroduced herself to Pittsburgh's music scene as a "Rock n B" artist, producing music that reflects her journey of personal and artistic liberation.
